Bob’s Dive Shop (BDS) is Fresno’s oldest and most trusted name in SCUBA training. Since 1972, Bob’s Dive Shop (BDS) has trained thousands of divers and has become the way Fresno residents discover the beauty and excitement of the underwater world.

The Tostenson Family has owned and operated BDS since its inception in 1972 and has become one of the oldest dive store in the country with single family ownership. We love introducing people just like you to the thrill of diving and hope you will stop into our store and discuss learning to scuba dive. We strive to be “The best” Scuba instructional program anywhere.

The Bob's Dive Shop Staff

Our Staff is composed of the most experienced staff and instructors around. We love to dive and love introducing others to the wonders of diving the Oceans of the world. Many of our past student divers return to travel with us year after year and tell us that diving with us is the reason they come back. Hearing this is more than just a pat on the back for us, watching students improve their diving skills and experience the excitement of diving gives us a special sense of pride and satisfaction!

Bob’s Dive Shop has recently introduced the I-Dive Adventure Series© a unique SCUBA training program designed for the 21st Century diver! This program takes into account your busy schedule and desire to try SCUBA diving before making a substantial time and financial commitment to the sport.

You begin your training here at our Platinum training facility with this very modern and unique SCUBA program. The I-Dive Adventure© is not a full certification class but rather a series of classroom and pool training sessions which include skills and information needed for diving certification and to be safe and comfortable underwater.

For your convenience BDS has developed a state-of-the-art training facility including a heated and enclosed diver training pool on site. Locally rented pools didn’t provide us with the environment we wanted to train new divers so we built our own.

There are no diving equipment or study materials required to purchase for this program, guaranteed! There is a low price tuition charge. The I-Dive Adventure© program allows you to participate in our I-Dive Adventure© travel program with our dive club, The Sub Club©. When you are ready to become a certified diver you transfer the skills learned in the I-Dive Adventure© training program and complete your training in a full certification program.
